On Saturday, June 6, 2009, KEvin and
Katherine cruised from Herrington Harbor to Town Creek. Suzette and I
met them in the chesapeake at "G77" ~1315 and followed them to Jim's
dock. Mickey, Pat and Regina arrived about 1400. We had a cookout
in Jim's back yard and relaxed on in the wonderful weather. About 1800,
we got underway and made for Placid Harbor. We anchored in Placid
Harbor and rafter K2-II, Ma Lady II, Mickey's pontoon boat and Jim's
boat (with Piper). We enjoyed the evening with great friends until
about sunset. Jim, Mickey, Pat and Regina departed and we
remained in Placid harbor for the night. Very quiet and peaceful.
We enjoyed the time with Kevin and Katherine.
Sunday morning, we got underway at 0800 and cruised over to Solomons
for breakfast at Captain's Table. The dock was full, so we docked K2-II
at Vincenza's and took MLII to Captain's Table. Had breakfast on the
deck. We went back over to Vincenza's, the cruised (MLII and K2-II) to
St. Leonard's Creek. Went all the way up the creek. On return to the
Patuxent River, we met Glenn, Regina nd Ashley. After short stop with
them, we proceeded back towards Town Creek. As we pulled into Town
Creek, K2-II broke off and departed for Herrington Harbor. A
really great weekend and looking forward to doing it again. Thanks to
Jim for hosting us at his house on Saturday and thanks to all for the
great cookout.
