Boating Weekend
Saturday & Sunday July 18-19, 2009

On Saturday afternoon, Suzette and I cruised to Rivers Edge Restaurant in Benedict, MD, just south of the Benedict Bridge. The boat had just been bottom painted, so we cruised at 22 knots most of the way. Very nice day. Smooth water and boat was performing well. Arrived at Rivers Edge. Good dockage in 6+ feet at low tide. Restaurant is at the end of the pier. Nice people, good dinner. We bought dessert to go and made for St. Leonard's Creek. Anchored at N38 24.865 W076 29.003. Nice secluded bight on south side of St. Leonard's Creek, just west of Vera's White Sands. Cranked the generator and A/C and watched a movie, then enjoyed the sunset. Very peaceful. Had a good, smooth night at anchor.

Sunday morning, we were underway about 0930 and cruised to Solomons for breakfast at Captain's Table. Dockage was sparse, but got waved into an unused slip. Had nice breakfast. Departed and went to Spring Cove Marina for fuel and pump out. Headed out of Solomon's and saw many, many sailboats on the bay. Headed out past Hog Point and watched the sailboat races for about an hour. Returned to Town Creek nd spent about 2 hours cleaning the boat. Looks good now, top and bottom.
