On
Saturday, August 15, 2009, Suzette and I departed Town Creek at 0940.
We cruised to L Trappe Creek on north side of Choptank River between
Oxford and Cambridge, MD. Bay was very calm. We made good speed, ~22
knots all the way to La Trappe Creek. We arrived at 1130, and prep'd
for Digger and Darcy's arrival. They arrived at 1200 in their 33'
Donzi, Freedom II. We rafted together, cranked the A/C and had lunch in
the cabin. Spent the afternoon in the Creek. At 1500, Digger took
Suzette and me for a ride in the Donzi. MAde 62 MPH on the Choptank.
When we returned to La Trappe Creek, Digger and Darcy departed for
Herring Bay. Suzette and I departed La Trappe Creek at 1605. We cruised
to Oxford, MD and into Town Creek (Oxford). We departed Town Creek at
1700 and made Town Creek (Jim's dock) by 1835. Bay was very smooth and
we averaged ~ 23 knots. 80.6 NM total trip. After we tied up and
cleaned up the boat. We had supper with Jim on the patio. A great day
and great evening.
