Saturday March 11, 2011, Suzette and I met Matt at Horne's in Port
Royal, VA and drove together to Great Bridge, VA, Atlantic Yacht Basin.
We loaded some equipment on the boat, then did a thorough pre-flight of
all valves and fluids. Generator and main engines started easily and we
got underway for our initial training from Matt. We practiced
maneuvering in the the ICW and made some practice approaches to the
dock at AYB. We went ot the fuel dock for fuel. Had a little trouble
with the port tank vent system. Was not able to get it completely
topped off. Stbd side fueled normally. After fueling we went south for
a few miles then returned to AYB. A great day learning our new boat.
