Friday Suzette and I checked in to the Sheridan and had a quiet dinner
in the hotel. Saturday morning, Paul came by and he and I went to Tyson
Mall for a couple of hours.
Saturday evening we attended the HMX-1 Marine Corps Birthday Ball with more than 1300 Marines and their guests. We were in the company of Colonel Kevin Wild, his wife Katherine, LtGen Schmidle, DC/Aviation and Director White House Military Office, Emmett Beliveau. We reacquainted with many old friends, made some new ones and had a wonderful evening with HMX-1.
