Back Home
On
Wednesday, Suzette and I left Jim's house at 4:50 AM for the drive to
South Bend. We had an easy drive and arrived at mom's by 5:00 PM. We
took
mom to Pejza's for supper and checked into the Candlewood Suites near
the South Bend Airport. On Thursday we picked Andy up at the airport
and later picked up Joe, Diane and Joey at the South Bend Airport. Dave
and Lorraine arrived along with Ben and Whitney. Ricardo and his wife
Maria arrived Thursday afternoon as well. Thursday evening we had
BBQ at mom's joined by Kathy, JR, James, Michelle,
Anna and Saxton. Paul and Kimberly arrived Friday morning with Zoey.
Friday we all gathered at mom's house for lunch and dinner. Joe had
brought along his new quad copter drone and we enjoyed flying it around
the farm and getting video and pictures. Saturday morning we all
gathered at mom's for the "official" family picture. It had been 11
years since the entire family had been together, so it was a very
special time. On Saturday afternoon, Anna and Saxton left as did James
and Michelle. On Sunday morning Joe, Diane, and Joey left for an early
flight back to NC. Suzette, mom and I drove out to watch Kathy ride her
horse Bella on Sunday afternoon. On Monday morning Paul, Kimberly and
Zoey departed and Dave flew to DC. Ricardo and Maria left mid day
on Monday. Suzette and remained. On Tuesday night we met Bobbie, Warren
and Teta for dinner at Rocky River in Granger. On Wednesday morning at
5:00 AM Suzette and I departed headed for Bedford, VA to visit with Pam
and Don. It was wonderful to have everyone together for the first time
in many years. We treasure our time with family and friends.
